January 27, 2013 in Lakeland Hills, NJ: 3rd Annual Spin for Life

Thank You

Team Zoey supporters “ROCKED THE HOUSE” Sunday January 27th at the Lakeland Hills YMCA and February 10th at Hardbodyz Fitness.

I have barely come down from my HIGH as we cranked out our 3rd Annual “Spin for Life” raising over $46,040.49!!! Although two hundred of Zoey’s friends, family and neighbors signed up to spin there was also a lot of dancing and singing going on. Most people signed up for 30 minute time slots but three of Team Zoey’s supporters spun for 4 ½ hours and Zoey’s cousin Tyler spun for 3 ½ hours. Although it was Karen Carolonza 3rd year she volunteered to spin for the entire event, this year she recruited her sister Alison Berna and friend Charles Scott who came across the Hudson from Manhattan to do the same. Their enthusiasm and determination helped fuel the entire group all day long. To keep everyone motivated we had a “Team” of 8 instructors who rotated time slots.

This years Spin For Life was months in the making, which would not have been possible without the help of Megan Luciano, Beth Bellucci and Green Room PR staffer Stacey Palmeri. The idea of selecting volunteer “Team Captains” who helped gather a virtual team to raise money is definitely what brought us to raise this astonishing amount of money and was the key to this year’ssuccess. Each team could also then compete to raise money individually and or as a team. This year we also had a record number of business sponsors helping us reach our goal.

There were many lucky winners of some fabulous prizes. The Grand Prize of a Family Y Membership was won by the Albregt Family. Second prize of 2 Giant Tickets went to Lisa Ward. Third Prize 2 Broadway play tickets was won by Denise Goodbar. Personal Training was won by Jeff DiBlagi. There were also prizes for the top 3 individuals and teams who raised the most amount of money.

We have been raising money for Team Zoey/PRF for just under 3 years and I am always blown away by the love and support. Thank you just never seems like enough. We are always so appreciative how many people are willing to give up their time and money to help support Team Zoey/PRF! Team Zoey is just that it is a “TEAM” and all our success would not be possible if it was not for all of YOU!
