June 26, 2010:2nd Annual Ride for Progeria Raises Awareness, Funds and Loads of New Supporters!
On June 26, 2010, the day began with a Meet and Greet in Elmira, ON with Tom Mann with Biker TV, Sarah with Rogers TV, and dozens of riders and friends. In the rain, the riders and support system showed their dedication for this cause as they registered, participated in interviews and posed for photos. The crew then started their engines and rode for four hours, from Elmira to Kincardine. The rain stopped, there were no mishaps, and everyone had fun eating, drinking and enjoying the music!
Many thanks to all that donated: Stoltz, the GRIP girls (girls riding independently proud), The Bruce Steakhouse, the Sutton Park Inn, West Memphis Suicide, Tracenine, Kitchener Harley Davidson, Zdenos, Terez Leathers, Sampsons, Alexandria’s Shoes for Women, Jewelry Secrets, Pinacle Health and Fitness, Lucky Souls Tattoo, The Rock Shop, Yamaha, McDonalds, and Crabby Joe’s, and Daytime TV, KOOL FM and the Elmira Independent for all of their media support. And congratulations to David White from Kincardine, who raised the most pledges.
Next year’s event is planned for June 11, 2011 – check out details at the Facebook Event page
